Cleaning and Maintaining Your Coffee Machine

Don't ever wash or rinse the external surface of your machine with water. Wipe the outside surfaces with a damp cloth using standard household or kitchen detergent.

    Daily Cleaning Routine

    Frothing Wand

There are no excuses for not cleaning the frothing wand after every time milk is frothed. NEVER! - place the frothing wand in a container of liquid!

Ensure the frothing wand remains clean at all times ... after each frothing, wipe the wand clean with a damp cloth and supply a one second full pressure burst of steam to clean out the inside of the frothing wand.

NB: If the Frothing Wand is neglected, a crust of dried milk forms on the inside and outside, eventually blocking the steam nozzle. This leads to milk finding its way into the boiler and rotting the water, resulting in a major breakdown situation.

    Drip Tray

Remove the drip tray and wire rack located below the group heads and wash them.

    Waste Drain Tub

Flush out the waste drain tub underneath the drip tray. Remove excess coffee grounds to keep the drain unblocked.

    Counter Top

Wipe the counter top underneath the machine.
